A few thoughts from this pained and troubled Jewish soul to the readers of the Tent of Abraham and my Jewish brothers and sisters:
-We’ve seen this before, we will not be intimidated
-To be a Jew is to be chosen to pursue justice for every human being
-To be a Jew is speak for those who have been silenced
-To be a Jew is to do battle with social-cancers we call hate, fear and ignorance
-To be a Jew means never turning away from injustice and pursuing a better world in spite of the challenges or our own limitations
-To be a Jew is to know that the ultimate Shabbat, the ultimate redemption will only come when we are successful in liberating all who are unjustly imprisoned by poverty, disease, hate and indifference
People have been trying to stop the Jewish people from fulfilling their Divine Mission for centuries.
As such, it takes courage and a profound sense of responsibility to be a Jew.
But we will not be deterred.
