I know that in addition to being amazing actress Mayim Bialik is also a scientist and serious religious Jew. But until I saw this video today, I had no idea that she and I are on the same page when it comes to struggling to identify who God is and what God’s role in in our lives. I think Mayim says it better than I do.
God is that amazing Force that makes reality, humanity, love, joy, wisdom and science real. I’m convinced that many if not most atheists reject a very limited, dated, simplistic definition of God. The bearded guy in the sky who works magic is certainly not the Deity more educated, more sophisticated people of faith in nowadays believe in.
