Sometimes when you listen to Senator Elizabeth Warren (D. MA) talk politics, you have to remind yourself that you are listening to a real person and not a too-good-to be true fictitious character created by Aaron Sorkin. Warren has an amazing gift for clarifying complicated issues and cogently responding to those with whom she disagrees without repeating timid or vitriolic sound bites. Her incredible command of facts make her an intimidating adversary for those who don’t share her point of view.
Americans who are passionately committed to an inclusive society that takes social justice as seriously as we do the free-enterprise system, can take comfort in these dark days of the Republican tea-party assault on our democracy in knowing that this brilliant, eloquent, charismatic patriot is on our side.
