Stuart Walker, 28, was the Assistant Manager of the Royal Hotel in Cumnock, Ayrshire, Scotland. The UK Mail is reporting that someone or some group of people, decided to beat Walker in the early morning hours of Saturday, burn him alive and then tie his body to lamppost.
The police found his charred remains about 5 AM. Authorities have now confirmed that Walker’s body bore scorch marks that indicated he had suffered “horrific injuries,” prior to be burned alive.
Stuart Walker was gay. As such, many are wondering if this gruesome murder was not a bias crime committed by a sick-homophobe.
Walker was last seen alive at 2:30 AM. Police want to know where he was and who he was with between 2:30 and 4:50 AM.
As soon as word got out in the local community of what had happened, people began visiting the spot where Walker’s remains were found. Many wept openly, others left notes and flowers.
Many friends and strangers left moving messages on a Facebook page set up in his memory.
