Sondheim & Bernstein’s Inspiration for “Somewhere?” (VIDEO)

Yes, the song “Somewhere” was composed for the show West Side Story.  But I’ve never been able to listen to  it wondering if the two Jewish souls who composed it’s haunting words and music, Leonard Bernstein and Stephen Sondheim weren’t echoing the inconsolable dispear of world Jewry trying to come to terms with decimation of 6,000,000 family members.
