The recent Presidential election was in many ways a confrontation between cosmopolitan Americans and rural America; between tolerant Americans and those who would be blame immigrants and minorities for their personal struggles.
Kudos to Mayors de Blasio, Lee and Garcetti of NY, San Francisco and Los Angeles for going on record that their respective cities will continue operate by policies that reflect the more humane, enlightened values of their citizens.
