For many people familiar with the 2003 independent film Latter Days, this documentary is going to look very familiar. Like the C. J. Cox classic, Elder: A Mormon Love Story is about a young Mormon missionary, Tom Clark falling in love with a beautiful male contemporary.
Kudos to the New York Times and Canadian filmmaker, Genéa Gaudet for producing this poignant documentary about that heart wrenching choice too many LGBT people have had to make between being true to their heart and being shunned by their family, friends and community.
