Those of us on the progressive side of politics, culture and religion, often times find ourselves describing certain points of view or people as being insular, close minded, shut-off from reality. It’s hard to fathom that a person would actually prefer to isolate himself from the rest of the world in such dramatic, extreme way as this. Some people isolate themselves from the rest of the world with religion, fear, prejudice, guns, laws and lies. Some I guess, just wrap themselves in plastic.
