Progressive thinking people who are genuinely committed to equality know all too well that when many political conservatives promote policies that limit the rights of women, LGBT people or decimate government social assistance programs for the poor, they are, whether they acknowledge it or not advancing policies that reflect their personal prejudices.
Personally, I say congratulations to tea-party type conservative Republicans who don’t mince their words and just openly express what they are really thinking. I may despise and totally reject their bigotry and logic, but I respect their audacity.
Brian Beckman, a captain with the Miami Dade Fire-Rescue Department is just such courageous fool. Beckman had the chutzpah to tell his Facebook friends and the world just what he thinks about Trayvon Martin, George Zimmerman, African-American youth and their parents:
“The state seeks reelection again, truth aside. I and my coworkers could rewrite the book on whether our urban youths are victims of racist profiling or products of their failed, sh*tbag, ignorant, pathetic, welfare dependent excuses for parents, but like Mrs. Corey, we speak only the truth. They’re just misunderstood little church going angels and the ghetto hoodie look doesn’t have anything to do with why people wonder if they’re about to get jacked by a thug.”
These days it is not at all unusual to hear pundits on Fox Noise and other conservative commentators decry how the political left has turned the Trayvon Martin case into a “racial incident” because as we all know, race had absolutely nothing to do with George Zimmerman’s pursuing and violently confronting an unarmed kid in a hoodie who was just minding his own business. Trayvon Martin had to be up to no-good; “those types” always are. That’s not racism, that’s just how it is!
When asked about his posting, Beckman said it is his right as private citizen to express his point of view when off duty. The Miami Dade Fire-Rescue Department would only say in response to queries about Beckman’s Facebook posting that the matter is under investigation.
Bravo Brian Beckman. Your candor may cost you your job, but your verbal assault on African-Americans will probably land you employment with one the countless Republican entrepreneurs in your area who share your sentiments. In fact, I wouldn’t be surprised if Rush Limbaugh or Bill O’Reilly don’t launch a fundraising campaign in support of your victimization by the liberal elite.

Congrats Capt. Brian Beckman! Next time on tv wear your KKK hoodie! You are the perfect Gran Capt. Klansman! Well done! You have won first place to burn in HELL!
Your just of a peice of shit, my dad Brian Beckmann is married to my mom who is a Hispanic so next time think twice about calling someone racist when there in reality not. “Urban youth” doesn’t mean black but if you got offended by it, then the shoe must fit.
#1. So many years after this event you’re are still trolling the net for stories about what your father said 4 years ago? How sad and pathetic.
#2. Suggesting that your father’s statements were not racist is by today’s terms, like saying Donald Trump is an intelligent man who really respects women. Duh.
#3. Did you realize that you ended your angry comment with a racist accusation? “Urban youth”doesn’t mean black but if you got a offended by it, the the shoe must fit,” implies there something wrong with being Black! I guess the bad apple doesn’t fall far from the racist stepfather who happened to marry the Hispanic woman -as if that excuses his and your racism.
Reblogged this on Tent of Abraham and commented:
I can’t believe that 4.5 years after the fact, the daughter of a racist Miami firefighter is leaving racist responses to old stories about her father. No doubt, a family of Fox Noise watching Trump supporters.
