Baby-boomer’s in general and life long fans of the music of  Simon and Garfunkel will undoubtedly identify the folk duo’s classic hit, Sounds of Silence as one of the great anthems of a generation.  Not surprisingly, the song whose lyrics capture the grief, fear and angst of a generation, were composed by Paul Simon just 3 months after the assassination of President John F. Kennedy.

As  Sounds of Silence gave expression to the powerful emotions of a generation in pain, Paul Simon’s rendition of his classic song, no doubt resonated with many of thousands of people who gathered at Ground Zero for the 10th Anniversary Memorial on September 11, 2011.
