- One is permitted to break almost all other commandments to save a life. You may not ignore the blood of your neighbor.
- Welcome the stranger and treat him/her with respect. For you were once strangers in a strange land.
- If a Jew is not permitted to kill an animal for sport, how can a Jew accept “collateral damage” as justification for the slaughter of tens of thousands of civilians?
